Who are we?

At L'oven Cake we all have the skills to enable us to offer you the best “cake” experience. But best of all, we all love cake! We understand that it’s a big expense and it’s got to taste as good as it looks.

Jacqui Stuart is a local Liverpool girl who has 20 years experience in the sugarcraft industry, with the last 11 years spent teaching students through the Adult Learning Service. This has enabled Jacqui to keep up to date with the latest movements and trends in the industry while at the same time hearing what it is that students/potential customers want from a sugarcraft supplier.

It was through teaching that Jacqui met up with Sarah Atkins, a sugarcraft enthusiast with a passion for cakes. Sarah, originally from New Zealand, but now settled in Liverpool, has over 20 years experience gained in various different countries around the world, enabling her to incorporate all sorts of different cultural views in her sugarcraft work. Sarah is a keen baker with an enthusiasm for cakes to match Jacqui’s experience in the industry.

Nine months after setting up Emily Edgar joined the team. Emily is a fellow sugarcraft enthusiast who has a passion for cakes.

At L'oven Cake our aim is to provide an indulgent experience into the joy of cake, where people will be able to meet, eat and learn about all aspects of sugarcraft, as well as take advantage of our “cake couture” design service which offers the customer unique celebration and wedding cakes and includes our “ticklethetastebuds” range of baked goods.

The L'oven Cake sugarcraft shop carries a range of equipment and materials for sale as well as handmade cake toppers and magazines. We are passionate about sugarcraft as an art and strive to make as much as we can by hand rather than carry large quantities of commercially produced stock. If you are looking for cake decorations or toppers these can all be made to order. Our staff have a wealth of experience and knowledge of sugarcraft and we offer one to one workshop style classes on the premises and sound technical support on whatever equipment you buy. The shop has a clear view of the working area so you are able to see the magic in the making.

Monday : 9.30am to 5pm
Tuesday : 9.30am to 1pm
Wednesday - Friday: 9.30am to 5pm
Saturday: 9.30am to 4pm

We are available outside of these hours for taster sessions by appointment.
